Friends Society

In 2006 we set up our friends society primarily to help fund new music for the orchestra. Donations also go towards paying for our conductor, administration fees, concert overheads and gives us a boost for new projects such as the CD recording.

We are affiliated with the University of Southampton but receive very little funding from the Students Union. To help us realise our ambitions and achieve our goals we ask for a voluntary donation from our audience and local businesses.

Our friends receive a newsletter updating them on the activities of the orchestra, as well as notifying them of upcoming concerts. We are very environmentally friendly and therefore send all our newsletters via e-mail unless only a postal address is available. We ask for a small donation which will be gratefully received.
